ANECOOP, was founded in 1975 by a group of co-operatives, is the biggest export-import company for fresh fruit and vegetables in Spain and is one of the biggest fruit and vegetable marketers in Europe. We have around 70 small companies (co-operatives) associated located in Spain's main agricultural areas and it markets their produce in over 50 countries, and our main product is fresh citrus (around 360.000 tones of fresh citrus commercialised during last year, together with almost 200.000 tons of fresh fruit and 140.000 tones of vegetables). We have over 202 people working in the company. Together with our activity in commercialisation, we have a Quality Department in charge of impulse and establish the best quality standards in our associated: ISO, BRC, Eurep. We have developed a standard for our own products, Naturane, more restrictive than others like Eurep and BRC with the use of pesticides.
