Team BioAroma from AgroParis Tech’s winning project involves an innovative approach to producing 2-phenylethanol (2-PE), an aroma compound with a rose-like scent.
Belgian team Vsycle took second place with their innovation focused on saving more fruit from frost damage. In third place was Team O-LIVE from Italy who are making resources for the cosmetic industry from waste cooking oils. The top three teams were presented with their prizes by BIC Chairman Rob Beekers during the BIC Anniversary Event in Brussels on 5 October 2023.
