The French National Final of the BISC-E Challenge 2026 took place this week at Université de Poitiers, as part of the Chimie Verte Academy Summer School, bringing together talented students, academic and industry experts, and bioeconomy stakeholders for a day of innovation and collaboration.

Four teams competed for the national title:

Congratulations to all four finalists for their outstanding projects, creativity, and commitment throughout the competition.

GluNEXT (INSA Toulouse) took first place, impressing the jury with the scientific quality, industrial relevance, and innovation potential of their project. The team will now represent France at the BISC-E European Pre-Final, competing against some of Europe's most promising bioeconomy student teams.

BIC warmly thanks the jury members for their expertise and feedback throughout the day, as well as the pre-final jury for their valuable input in helping teams refine their projects ahead of the national competition.

The day concluded with an evening at Futuroscope, where students, jury members, and organisers celebrated together: a strong testament of the large and solid European community BISC-E is building for the future bioeconomy professionals.

Best of luck to GluNEXT as they represent France on the European stage!
