Global Bioeconomy Summit

About the event

The Global Bioeconomy Summit 2026 brings together leaders from policy, science, industry, and civil society to explore how the bioeconomy can be scaled as a global force for change. Hosted in Dublin by the International Advisory Council on Global Bioeconomy (IACGB) in collaboration with the Government of Ireland, this year's Summit will spotlight bio-based solutions to some of the world's most pressing challenges — from food and energy security to biodiversity loss and climate resilience — while ensuring these solutions are inclusive, equitable, and socially accepted.

Through high-level dialogues, knowledge-sharing, and interactive sessions, participants will:

  • Help shape global, national, and regional bioeconomy strategies
  • Engage with cutting-edge science, technology, and innovation
  • Build cross-border partnerships for investment and collaboration
  • Showcase and learn from local solutions with global impact
  • Drive actionable climate and nature-positive outcomes, aligning market uptake with sustainable supply and resilient value chains, shaping policy and practice beyond 2026

Held bi- or tri-annually since 2015, the Global Bioeconomy Summit has become the leading international platform for advancing a sustainable, circular bioeconomy, attracting 700+ delegates from over 70 countries at past in-person events.
