Agrosingularity

Agrosingularity was founded in July 2019. Legal certification was obtained in December of the same year and the operating capability started in February 2020. Our company is focused in the production of "upcycled" food ingredients. Our main interest is producing food ingredients with functional properties such as antioxidants, antimicrobials and and dietary fibers (patented) mainly for the meat and bakery industries.

Agrosingularity runs its model in one of the biggest markets in the world, specialty food ingredients. The company has backed local and international investors such as Tech Transfer Agrifood and relevant Family Offices with deep knowledge in the food industry or Glocal Managers (Latam), with 2.5 million euros raised to date.

Agrosingularity increased its revenue by sevenfold from 2020 to 2021 and doubled revenue from 2021 to 2022 up 1.2 million euros. Agrosingularity has 30 active customers located in six countries across Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands, UK, Poland, Slovenia), with approved ingredients for customers like Campofrio (Sigma Group), IFF, Nestle, Arytza, Brenntag, Alianza Team or Bimbo.

The company not only invests in R&D, it also invests in providing core technology to help our customers. The best example is our VeguIA platform with the capability to test and formulate new ingredients in existing food matrices, dealing with the challenge of introducing new products with alternative ingredients to the market in a faster and cheaper way.

Agrosingularity is looking for a new partner to enter the next phase, scale our production model, and invest in our own facilities to grow with our customers. The new facilities will be capable of producing our range of single ingredients, fibres and proteins - using raw materials more efficiently. It will be the first facility in Europe with this mission. The company is looking for 6 million euros in order to become the one of the biggest "upcycled" ingredients producers in Europe.

Agrosingularity is aligned with SDG 2 & 12. Measuring its impact, to date have saved more than 4,000 tonnes of fresh food and prevented CO2 emission of 19,000 tonnes. We are starting the certification process of the Upcycled Food Association and will receive the BCorp certificate.
