Biobased Delta

The Biobased Delta is a triple helix structured organisation for South West Netherlands. In the Biobased Delta SMEs, large industries, knowledge institutes and governments work together to become a leading region in the biobased economy. In the BIC program, the Biobased Delta represents only the SMEs and therefore acts as a cluster organisation. The Biobased Delta focuses on Green Feedstock, Green Building Blocks and Sustainable process industries. In the Biobased Delta various initiatives are being fostered, amongst others Bio Innovation Garden (Zeeland), Green Chemistry Campus (Bergen op Zoom) and Nieuw Prinsenland (Dinteloord). The Green Chemistry Campus is a Center of Open Chemical Innovation and a safeharbor for SMEs in the field of Agro meets Chemistry. The Center of Expertise Biobased Economy with Avans University of Applied Science (part of the RTO network) is also housed in the Biobased Delta.

The Biobased Delta wants to become a leading region in the biobased economy in Europe. Therefore it continuously strives to explore new pathways and projects. It wants to engage on an approach that focuses on Green Feedstock, Green Building Blocks and Sustainable Process Industry.
