For the successful fermentation process, an ideal combination of complex, diverse and highly specific techniques are necessary and everything has to be perfectly adapted to the appropriate microorganisms. Aerobic or anaerobic conditions, different media ingredients like salts or sugars, temperature and stirring – all these factors need to be optimised towards high yields of target products. Possible ways to achieve large amounts of pure products like up-scaling, online analytics and tailor-made downstream processing will be presented at the next CLIB event. In cooperation with Lonza, the event “Fermentation and downstream processing of high-performance ingredients” will highlight fermentation and DSP factors and will give the participants the chance to expand their knowledge and to discuss with experts.
