Circular economy: in need for focus
The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment and the House of the Dutch Provinces in Brussels would like to invite you to the Circular and Biobased Economy seminar on Thursday, 4 June 2015, 16h00 – 19h00. The seminar will take place at the premises of the Permanent Representation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the EU (Avenue de Cortenbergh 4-10 in Brussels).
With this seminar, we aim to provide the European Commission and other EU stakeholders with relevant input for the new and more ambitious proposal.
When the communication on circular economy was withdrawn, vice-president Timmermans promised that it will be replaced by a more ambitious proposal late 2015.
Therefore we would like to explore with you the possibilities and opinions regarding a more ambitious and integral approach towards the circular economy.
In our view, circular economy should not only focus on zero-waste and recycling, but should encompass a whole value chain approach including the biobased economy.
By bringing together the best practical, regional and local experiences, we want to showcase the applications of the circular economy and its short- and long-term effects.
In due time you will receive the programme of the seminar.
To register for the seminar, please send an e-mail to hnp@nl-prov.eu
