CelluComp is a material science company based in Scotland that develops high performance products based on sustainable resources. CelluComp has discovered the exceptional opportunities offered by materials produced from non-hydrocarbon feed-stocks.
CelluComp’s principle activity is to develop and commercialize Curran®, a material developed from the extraction of nano-cellulose fibres of root vegetables. Curran® offers exceptional rheological and mechanical properties for numerous applications, such as paints and coatings, personal care, home care, cosmetics, concrete, drilling fluids, composites and other potential applications.
Since its creation and initial commercialisation, the patented process for Curran® has been further developed to produce new generations of product suitable as a rheology modifier for use in a broad range of industrial applications.
CelluComp is in a number of collaboration and contractual agreements with major companies covering both production and distribution.
CelluComp’s Curran® range of additives provide a unique set of properties for the coating industry. Based on novel fibre technology and derived from root crops, the Curran® range of rheology modifiers and film enhancers are both green and multi-functional.
