Monoghan Mushrooms Group

Monaghan Mushrooms, headquartered in Co. Mongahan in Ireland, was created as a family company in the early 1980’s. Over the last thirty years, the company has grown to become one of the largest mushroom producers in the world, serving some of the largest international retailers. The Monaghan Mushrooms now has over 3,500 employees.

Monaghan Mushrooms is a vertically integrated agribusiness involved in all aspects of growing mushrooms: producing compost, growing, harvesting and packing of the mushrooms before delivering directly to the customers in six countries. The company has complete visibility over the quality of the mushrooms, from spore to store.

R&D: as well as researching the nutritional benefits of mushrooms and improving packaging, the company is looking for ways to improve every aspect of the production cycle. By collaborating with universities and research institutes, they hope to grow the global market.
